Child Dedication

Child Dedication is a special time when you, as parents, dedicate yourselves to raising your children in the things of God, and the church dedicates itself to providing an environment that will help the children become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ. You are dedicating your children to their Heavenly Father, recognizing that they are truly a gift from God and declaring that their lives belong to Him!

Our next Child Dedication will be May 13 & 14, 2017. Click on your location below to register today.

NLC Kids is created to partner with the parents in leading their children to become fully engaged followers of Jesus. Through fun worship, engaging activities, and consistent leaders, children are exposed to God’s Word and challenged to apply it as they develop an authentic faith.

Our children’s services are fully staffed with background checked and trained adults and high school students who are committed to teaching and ministering to children. Our spaces are clean, safe, and specialized so you can be confident that your child is well-cared for while you worship. NLC Kids is offered during all of our weekend services, with doors opening 20 minutes before our services.

We believe that you are the primary spiritual leaders of your family. We want to partner with you as you lead your children. The learning doesn’t have to stop when services end. To do this we offer these great ways to connect:

1. Parent Cues: These sheets are available every week to help you know what questions to ask, activities to participate in, and verses to review with your children so that the learning doesn’t stop.

2. Parent Cue App: Download this app to see the video version of the messages your kids have received.

3. Connect with Small Group Leaders: Find your child’s small group leader by clicking your location:

Find Your Kids Age

From the earliest age, we provide clean, safe, and specialized spaces with trained staff and volunteers to provide loving care for your babies and one year olds. We want you as parents and caregivers to have the peace of knowing your children are being well cared for while you enjoy the service. Room leaders will seek specific care needs from parents to ensure the proper care is delivered. Children and families are also joyfully prayed for in this environment. We believe that this embracing care communicates to little ones that they are safe in their Heavenly Father’s arms.

Pre-K is our weekly environment created especially for your infant (six weeks) through preschool-aged children. We can’t wait to meet them! We know things are busy at this stage of life and your children are learning and growing in amazing ways. We are ready for them!
We believe in an active, hands-on approach to learning with preschool children. So, you can plan on a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughter in every experience. Be on the lookout for fun crafts and big games. Starting at the age of 2, we introduce curriculum to begin teaching them lessons through interactive activities and Bible stories.
We look forward to helping your preschoolers learn more about God.
It is our hope that your child will learn these three truths:
God MADE me.
God LOVES me.
Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.

We believe that learning from the Bible can be fascinating, worship can be fun, and every child should have a leader in their life who cares. Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure they learn these three things:
1. I need to make the wise choice.
2. I can trust God no matter what.
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
In K-Town and Studio K, your kids will have high energy worship and receive engaging biblical lessons with a “Monthly Virtue” in a large group setting. The focus then turns to Small Groups where kids build friendships that will last, learn how God’s Word fits in to their lives, and learn how to talk to God. Led by a Small Group Leader, the students are engaged in conversation and fun activities with other students to bring the lessons to life. We want your kids to have a consistent small group leader to encourage them. That’s why it’s important to make sure your child connects with the same friends and same leader at the same hour—EVERY SUNDAY!

This is the environment where our older elementary students have a chance to worship in a fun, high energy way and learn a practical biblical lesson from our “Monthly Virtue” style curriculum as a large group. Following, are small groups where students get a chance to have conversations and do activities with a few other students lead by a Small Group Leader that goes along with the lesson from large group. This is where personal application and relationships are created!

K-Town is designed especially for our younger elementary students. The delivery of the small group lessons, activities and songs are more age appropriate for the way they learn and interact with one another.

This is the environment where our older elementary students. The large and small group lessons and activities appeal to this age and stage of life as these children prepare for middle school life. Each week, Small Group Leaders will also lead the children through a series of reflective questions designed to help the children apply the message to their week.

NLC Kids Is Designed With These Core Values In Mind

We create safe and clean spaces for children to learn and explore their faith with grace and love. This means that we are strategic about our environments and team member training to create safety for every child.

Family Partnership

We view everything that we do as an opportunity to team up with parents in order to help you raise your child with a strong spiritual foundation and a strong moral foundation as well.

Each of our different environments have different curriculum, music, and events that are designed to be age (phase) relevant, fun, and engaging for each child.

Consistent Relationships

This means that each child will be exposed to a lot of the same teachers, small group leaders, and other children which will produce excitement about coming and comfort once they arrive.

Biblically Focused

This means that everything that we do will be focused around teaching children biblical truths and showing them how to live out those truths as they walk through life.

Fun and Engaging

We want your child to grow up loving church! We place our attention to experiences, activities, and lessons that will be enjoyable and memorable for your children. We want them to be excited about coming back.
